I'm sure your local news station has better things to report on. Like the weather, who got shot, who got jacked, who's sleeping around., and who got eliminated from <insert reality show here>...etc etc
I imagine this experience at Best Buy ranks pretty low.

Since you completely refuse to deal with BB in any way, shape, or form, what resolution would you consider acceptable?

Well SlimJim77 I guess you have never had a horrible experience at BB or any where else. You must live in a perfect world unlike everyone else. I guess you have never felt as though you paid for something that you really did not get. Talked to and treated with no respect or someone being just down right rude to you. Well I have and I am very upset about it. I don't like spending money and not getting what I paid for. Then being told to go back to this same place that I had this experience with. That is not an acceptable answer. So thanks so much for your wonderful reply Slim.

Again, what would be an acceptable answer?

I agree. They are the worst! No one seems to know what they are doing? We went to the geek squad they did not know what to tell us. The geek e-mailed geek squad from the store. e-mail? What good is that? Then I called the geek squad and the person told me he was really busy and had a meeting to go to. We were only on the phone for a minute. Does it mean that I am never going to shop at Best Buy again? I am so mad right now that I do not want to go back there. I will tell everyone to shop somewhere else first. Best Buy has the WORST customer service!!

Thank you very much now I know I am not the only one who has sworn off best buy. I just had to spend another high dollar amount to get the viruses off my computer that the geek squad did not remove. So once again I am going to reiterate that I will never, never, never go to the geek squad or bestbuy again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for an acceptable answer would be for BestBuy to offer some of my money back since they did not do what they were supposed to do and my computer still had viruses on it actually alot of them!!!!!! But because they have such terrible customer service I know they would never do anything to actually satisfy a customer.

So basically, you're saying to BB "I want a refund, after which I will never shop with you again."

Save your 200 bucks. It sounds like you've got spyware problems. There may be a virus as well. Go online, download and install the free version of AdAware and run a scan. Delete all the bugs it finds. Next, run a virus scan. Nod32 is the best I've found. You can download a free 30 day trial from their website and scan your system for viruses. If you want a good totally free AV program, I recommend AVG.
It sounds like you're using Internet Explorer. Open Control Panel > Internet options, and delete all of the Temporary Internet files, browsing historey, etc... That should make a big difference.

soooooo..... even if somebody dropped the ball and some dude was having a bad day... you refuse to let best buy correct it. People and businesses mess up all the time. Its life ... it just happens.. people do there best to keep from things like this happening but sometimes it does and when it does and you are offered to go back and talk to a manager or somebody to get the issue resolved and you refuse... you have nobody to blame but yourself. As you told slimjim77 that the world is not perfect. If company's just went around handing money back every time somebody complained they would go out of business. Then what? who is left ... wally world lol yeah let me pick up my potatoes and juice and a laptop. Give them another chance to fix the issue. If it is still not resolved by then, then go higher up the food chain. But you have to be reasonable. If what they did removed all the viruses then they did their job and what you paid for. If the problem still exist then it was not viruses that caused the problem in the first place.
