problem with bestbuys policy that they tell you nothing about

I had just purchased a 7000$ hometheater system including installation. When I saw this delivery charge that I paid for I decided to pick it up and save 100$ so I cancelled the delivery. Well because of company policy when ever you change something they cancel the install and if your sales person doesn't reschedule you are never informed and are out of luck for your install. So in my case I have a living room full of boxes and no hometheater sys. it sure would be nice if they put this on somepiece of the paperwork (receipt,install agreement, or any other form they give you) because from what I have experienced the only one that has a problem is you the customer. This policy is certainly one of the most insane that I have ever come across and sadly to say will make me think twice about a large purchase from bestbuy since any small purchase you can carry home and all willing you want need any help from the store because odds are you wont get it anyway.

Thank you for getting back to. Me  my main concern with this policy is that its probably more work for BB to correct it than it will be for them to just continue business as usual. I can't express how disappointed I am after waiting a month to receive these items to only find out because of one certain sales persons incompetence that I have to suffer for there negligence with absolutely no recourse to follow but accept the decision of store1407 and wait ANOTHER week and be offered nothing for my now loosing 2 days of work during a time when just having a job is a blessing.

The biggest joy of buying a new home theater system is that you can sit down and enjoy a movie knowing that you installed it all by yourself. I would never want anyone to install my new home theater if I got a new one.

 

I agree with you REM about having a job being a blessing. You are a lucky guy to have $7000 dollars to spend on electronics. Can I come work where you work? :smileyhappy:

 

if alot of families had $7000 dollars in the bank, they would not be losing their homes and could feed their kids.

 

You are reallly blessed. Enjoy thte new home theater. :smileyhappy:

Thankyou starflyer59 for those nice thoughts. For me the best thing about this purchase is not installing it myself though it would be a fun project its just enjoying my purchase. In my life time is more valuable than anything and BB is costing me a lot of this. My big issue has been the lack of a serviced based company NOT going above and beyond to make THERE mistake right. i hope you and you're family prosper in these tough economic times.
