Re: my xbox 360 is getting hot?

Hello farmergirl -

If your unit is getting hot, I would suggest seeking service or rapid exchange under your service plan.  If this is the fourth documented failure, you may get a a new unit, however without reviewing your specific repair history, I am unable to answer that question.

I hope this helps, and I hope you are back gaming in no time!

Re: my xbox 360 is getting hot?

I would bring in everything that you have to the Geek Squad at the local Best Buy. This includes:

The console itself

Controller that came with the unit

Power Supply

Any other hardware that you came in the box

ALSO:
Any previous service orders that you have

You original receipt with BTP# on it, if you have that.

That will help everything flow smoother. While you are their, they should be able to look up your repair history, if you do not have the paperwork to bring in, and determine if it qualifies for a no-lemon exchange. The way the No-Lemon worked for my laptop was that the local Geek Squad determined that it needed it's "4th qualified repair" and then had to send it to the service center to get the No-Lemon Junkout approved. I am not sure if the XBoxes need this approval or not, but that would be worst case scenario.

Hope this helps!
