I have to say, I was a LONG standing support of circit city, and moved to bestbuy after they closed, and up to this point... never really had a problem, esp after i did most of my major eeletronic buys from you, simply due to the great support/good return policy...
I decide to go to Bestbuy to obtain God of war collection, since you had a GREAT deal on it, and was quite excited to get that and preorder the next game. upon getting to the counter, i got carded... though im never thrilled by it, they have to do their job and i accept that, i offer to give him my ID so he can fill out the preorder information without an issue, because does anyone like speak spelling things for people to spell... so he says no, and so i go down the list at just about every field he required me to spell the thing at hand.
Having reached city, Livonia which was on the lower left of the street corner (the bestbuy is near a + and the right is 1 town, the top left is another town, and the lower left is another town) he kept trying to spell it and did a rather poor job, considering how common it must have been being near a college and all... so i help him out and tell him how it was spelt, he then inquires "are you giving me attitude?!", to which i said "well frankly yes, I offered my ID to make this easier on both of us, and now theres several people waiting in line that could have been helped sooner because of this..." (there was around 5 or so in line, and only 2 people checking out) after my comment, he turned off the register and walked off and decided to help the next person in line.
So i waited around 10 or so mins for the other guy to finish with the woman, and expected him to check me out and that was it, since its not really a big deal if someone wants to be a little less than helpful. the other guy checking out refused to sell to me, and took the next guy in line, having my service denied i went to talk to a manager and get this all sorted out. Upon explaining it to him, he kinda just shruged and said nearly sarcastically "ill talk to him later..." (though i never explained or said who it was)
due to this rather poor treatment, im not really sure if ill shop at bestbuy again, but i thought i would post this since i felt quite bothered by this level of service in a nearly dead store =\...

I was quite disheartened to read about that preorder experience. Being a gamer myself, I can definitely relate to the excitement you probably felt when you were committed to purchase it, so it is all the more regretful to hear that your preorder experience might have squelched that anticipation.
As a retailer that caters to gamers among many other customers, we strive to have the most streamlined interactions that get you connected with the products you need; our associates should simply be the vehicle to get you there. It is disappointing that there may have been a hiccup in that process with gathering your information but please be assured that your feedback is very valuable to us and I will be making it available to the appropriate leadership team for review.

well just because 1 guy was being less than helpful twords me, i didnt see why I should take it out on your company. I understand that not every employee is as helpful as the rest but as i said i waited around but was refused service from all fronts... and just gave up, and posted here, I didnt see a point in supporting a place that didnt seem to want my business when several other places can help me as much, it would be nice to say 5 usd but I rather be treated like a person than nothing for the extra 5 bucks...
