Re: iPhone under black tie

If the "average" time is 30 days, there must be more than a few that take over 30 days.

I need my phone.  I'm just gonna buy a good used phone with similar features now that I know all repairs will take this long.  So much for no deductible...

Re: iPhone under black tie

Yes the phone was sent to RMS however RIM does not allow At&t, RMS, Sprint or VZW to repair thier phones...Blackberrys are shipped from RMS to RIM for repair which is why they take so long...ask your TOSM next time he is in your store.

Re: iPhone under black tie

That does not make me feel any better.  If that's the case, the phones should be sent directly to Blackberry...

Re: iPhone under black tie

Actually having worked in Mobile, the policy is that if you send in a SmartPhone for service (BlackBerry) then we need to loan you a phone of similiar abilities, if they did not, they are not following policy.  Yes there is that $150 charge that you will have to put up as collateral, but you will get it back once you return the loaner.

We had to send someone's Blackberry out for service once, and we did not have any smartphone loaners, so our Manager opened a BlackJack II and loaned the customer that phone instead.  Rather than loading them another blackberry, which they might walk off with, lol.

My opinions are mine, and mine alone.

That's not policy. That may have been your store's AOP, but it's not SOP.
