I received an iPad2 for Christmas and managed to crack the screen in less than 3 weeks. My iPad2 was purchased with an additional 1 year BestBuy warranty which covers accidental damage and the store promptly replaced it on-on-the spot. I was quite happy about this service. However, I was informed that the replacement invalidated the warranty because it is connected to the product which is now being replaced. It seems to me that my paid for 1 year warranty should still stand and continue for the replacement product but of course with time running from the original date of purchase.
Has anyone had a similar experience and can I escalate this? Thanks.

Replacement parts or products may be new or rebuilt
to meet the manufacturer’s specifications of the original
product at our discretion. Our obligations under
this Plan will be fulfilled in their entirety if we replace
your product with a new or refurbished product
or issue you a voucher or gift card for replacement
value of your product pursuant to these terms and
conditions.
As the MFG warranty does not cover accidental damage, it's a good thing that you had the coverage or you'd be out $500+ for a new iPad. Once the unit is exchanged for you, the protection plan would been to be repurchased if you would like to have the same ADH coverage on your new iPad.

Hello MelissaA-Z,
Welcome to the forums!
Thanks for reaching out to us and as Mbrguy and deus have stated, once your iPad2 is replaced under your ADH plan, it is considered fulfilled and if you still want coverage, you would need to pay for additional coverage. I'm terribly sorry for any confusion and if there's anything else that I can do, let me know by replying here or sending me a private message.
Regards,

Hi, does the same apply for a 2year ADH 500 for an Ipad 2 until the coverage runs out? Also, is it any sized crack or just one that impedes your use of the machine?
