So I called to ask a few questions about direct tv 8/11/2011. Then the lady said if I ordered it that day that I would recieve a $50 best buy gift card in my mail in 6 to 8 weeks. It has now been 9 weeks and 2 days and still nothen. So I contacted direct tv and after 2 days of repeated answers, 12 different phone numbers,a supervisor and wasting more than half my minutes on my cell phone, they said that I had to contact best buy since they handle the gift cards. So I called the best buy customer service and after 15 minutes on hold, the person said that it is direct tv's promotion and that I have to call them, they are the ones that give out the cards. So now ive got 2 companies pointing fingers at each other and no answers. The bad part on top of all that, is I found out the lady who told me I would get the card if I signed up, offered it when it was expired 7/20/11. I had no idea about that. Thats not my fault the lady lied so I should still get it! So now I have their service under false promises. And I cannot get anyone to help me! Someone should have to honor it but I cant seem to get anyone to help me at all! Is there anything that I can do? Because on both sides, they say they dont have any numbers for high up people except supervisors and I already tried that with directv. Its not fair to lie to me to get me to sign up and then not follow through. Now I have a $60 satilite bill for 12months and then over $100 for the 2nd 12 months and im stuck with it. Can anyone PLEASE help me? Im at my witts end after 4+ hours of people from both places saying the same stuff over and over and giving me all these #'s to call and dont know what else to do!
