I returned some items and opted to have the refund issued as a store credit, which I was assured I could use online. The back of the card says I can use it online and the bestbuy.com policy says I can use it online, but it never accepts my number as valid. I feel a little cheated, and no one on the phones or at the stores have been able to help me. How can I fix this?

If it's convenient, and you have a Best Buy that you could stop by, they can check the balance at customer service (make sure the card is active).
If it is indeed active, you may want to review how you are entering the information onto the website, and make sure that you have all the info correct.
I myself have used Gift Cards on the website with no issue.
In my mind, you have one of two problems;
1) Issue with the card (stopping by the store may be the easiest way to check)
2)You are entering info incorrectly or in the incorrect places on the website
