i cant even begin to understand why i was denied... they pulled equifax, which is crystal clear (no negative information). my equifax FICO is 760 as of 10/28/10. ok so this was my 8th hard pull on equifax. over a two year period. i was approved on every inquiry on equifax. yes i also have opened some new accounts lately, but that reflects in the fico score.
ok maybe 8 inquiries. but i have 760 just before the 8th pull. and i had to report a lost or stolen card, because one account i opened printed the address incorrectly to send to me. would a lost or stolen card cause this to happen????

i understand that they are not required to extend credit to me. its just that it should be highly unlikely that they should have turned me down. if cap one venture card turned me down i would understand that. but this is a card rated for those who have fair credit.

this is my first denial in since july 2009. since then i have applied for 11 cards (4 store cards and 7 prime bank cards) and have been approved for every one. this card is targeted towards a more subprime market, so why on earth would they deny me.... they could have just given me a low limit and high interest at least...

Call them and ask them. Or have BestBuy get you approved for the Chase Card

thats good and all but i dont want to take another hard pull on my equifax. i was interested in the card because it was the only way i could reestablish my prior relationship with hsbc. i have had great prior standing and previously had one of their prime cards with a limit of 7000. unfortunately i was foolish and closed my account with them.
