I bought a 61a750 led dlp tv, stand and 4y warrantee for 2000 bucks on the 26th of jan. the salesman told me part of the deal was a 200 dollar gift card from nfl.com. the tv was an open box buy for 1299. I didnt get the upc code from the box so I cant get the gift card. samsung and the best buy manager don't want to do anything for me. so im out 200 bucks. the manager seemed to have an attitude problem, he didnt care if i returned the whole thing, he's not going to do nothing for me. unbelievable, that's just what i will do this week! and ill never shop best buy again!!! im cancelling my best buy credit card to. and after reading all the problems people are having getting their tv's fixed under warrantee im glad this happened. the salesman also lied and told me if the tv needed fixing, and couldn't be fixed in 12 days i would get a new tv. LOL yea right!!! after reading all the problems with customer service i think that is a lie to just like the promise of the 200 dollar gift card.
DONE WITH BEST BUY ITS ALL GOING BACK TOMORROW!!!

So you didn't buy a TV in the box? So that means they probably discounted it for more then the Samsung NFL thing since it was a display or whatever.
So you want more for nothing.
Okay this is simple. Best Buy should never do open or display discount. Full price on everything. Saves times and confusion.![]()
You'd have your UPC bar code and NFL stuff, but probably would have paid more for the TV. But that's cool. Dang that was easy. I should be a CEO!

Haunted Webby, are you able to read? Or just unwilling to do so?
It was clearly stated that the salesperson said that the $200 NFL gift card was part of the package. It played a role in the decision being made to buy the TV.
If you have nothing constructive to say, i think this person can already get enough of that from BB "Customer Service".

The $200 dollor NFL gift card required a UPC from the box.
Common sense would tell you that you have to have a box to have a UPC.
It's just a like a rebate. No UPC...no Rebate.

True, but you can't just give them a UPC from any box, what if someone buys that one and wants to submit the rebate too? In that situation, someone won't get their rebate and it will be the person that submits it last.

Hi gmb2428,
$200 is no small change, and it would definitely influence me when making such a significant purchase! I'm sorry if you purchased it on the premise you'd be eligible for the rebate only to find out otherwise afterwards - the full details should always be disclosed, especially with open box items. I'd like to see how I can help - please send me a private message with your name, phone number, and the customer service pin number from the bottom of your receipt, and I'll be happy to see if there are any other alternatives that may resolve this for you. To send me a private message, click on my username Elizabeth-BBY and click 'Send this user a private message' on the right-hand side.
I look forward to hearing from you!
