Easily multitask with this laptop that features a built-in webcam for video chatting with friends and family and a double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW drive for creating customized CDs and DVDs. Store or transfer media using the multi-in-1 media reader. Windows 7 Home Premium preloaded Which Windows 7 edition is best for you? Compare.
I run a business and some water got spilled on my lap top which I rely on for work. I decided to just buy a new one and have the data transfered. The incompetent Geek Squad comprised of teenagers and idiots, installed my information incorrectly, none of my program would run and they said I just had to (uninstal and reinstall one program) after FOUR hours mind you. I explained to the manager that the program I need requires Windows 7 Ultimate, so I would install that first, then reinstall the other. Not only didn't this work, they REFUSED to return it the next day because upgrading to Windows Ultimate was considered opening the software under the movies, CD's, ect. part of the Warranty!!! Even worse they had previously opened the product and installed and antivirus two months ago, so I'm stuck with a busted piece, customer service that couldn't stink worse than a mens truck stop urinal and I'm out $550 plus I'll lose my only client. Office Max is where I'm going from now on, in fact I fully intend to exchange this best buy piece of useless just and sell it on Craistlist for $400 so as not to lose all my money. I was disgusted at the way I was treated especially because I've bought computers, lap tops, cells, printers and more. Way to keep your customers coming back, after I exchange this lap top if my dad can't bulldog them into a refuvdm I will not step foot in that store again and will make sure everyone and anyone knows what a joke of a company they are!

Just curious. How was the data transferred incorrectly? And what programs would not work on your new computer? Did Geek Squad install those programs? I'm just trying to understand exactly what happened and what services you had Geek Squad perform.

I simply asked them to back up the files on my software; Medisoft and that was it. They installed the program despite the numerous times I mentioned not to due so because the software upgrade was required and during two days and aprx 5 hours I spent in the store no one, not even the manager told me it would make the computer unexchangeable or unretunable. I spent $479 + tax on a machine I cannot use. I know the Geek Squad can wipe the hard drive so I don't understand my upgrading to Windows Ultimate voidicdng my warranty under the "open software, C/D and food clause on the receipt. You open the sofware when you powe up! I'm upset and don't understand, I'm not being vulgar I feel mislead and deceived and was hoping someone could explain it to me,

I'm very sorry to hear about your recent issues that you've experienced at your local store. I can imagine how irritated you were to seek assistance, only to encounter problems that took additional time out of your day and leave the store without a resolution. I would be happy to provide additional guidance to your addressed concerns.
Without all the details, I cannot attempt to provide an explanation to your situation. In order to begin my research, I need some additional information; so I'm sending you a private message. Darnit, Justin! Taking it to private.. now I'm curious to see what happened. I read the post three times and still don't understand what happened, exactly.
