Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

i just got my camera back and was not even given an apology for the worst customer experience i have ever been thru, nor did i get a thanks you for being a customer.

bringing my photography business purchases to best buy was the worst decision of my life. now i just have to pray nothing else happens to my camera for the next 3+ years.

word of advice to others here. take your business elsewhere. vanns.com or B&H Photo would be a couple places to make purchases at. i have been using both since my experiences with best buy and could not be happier.

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

When I took my computer back and ended up fixing it myself, they were holding my computer hostage unless I signed an agrement stating that the work had been done to my satisfaction. I marked out the part about to my satisfaction. Best Buy doesn't care if you are their customer or not.  I have had experience with both of the companies you mentioned.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.  Best Buy?  NEVER AGAIN.  There are too many options in the world to be treated like a piece of garbage.  BUY LOCALLY, BUY OFF THE INTERNET, JUST DON'T BUY AT WORST BUY!

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

Geek Squad Public Defenders and Corporate supervisors worked hard for about 3 weeks on my situation that started about a year ago with the North Store (#14) in Rochester. I went to the South store (#1195) and got a refund for my camera, battteries and black tie plan AND got a new camera ordered ALL WITHIN 30 MINUTES.

The North Best Buy Store (#14) in Rochester should be the first store closed. The South Store (#1195) should be given a Customer Service award!

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

Well, then I am glad you got yours resolved.  They did absolutely nil for me.  The reason why I go into Best buy originally was because I could touch the products and talk to people.  Frankly, I have found better service on line. Best buy did nothing for me after promises of looking into it.   I hope every single store goes out of business after the way I was treated.  Remember, folks!  VOTE WITH YOUR DOLLARS.  If you are mistreated or not taken seriously, continue to refuse to give Best Buy your money.  Perhaps when they are totally bankrupt, they will get the picture that their antiquated silly way of doing business is far from the way we as consumers expect to be treated.

We can only hope that their demise happens sooner rather than later.  Best buy?  Best not!

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

Anita I am sorry they did nothing for you.

Even tho I got my situation resolved, my family, friends and 1000's of musicians I deal with every year are saying they will never go back to best buy again after hearing my story. Bad news travels fast. I think we are seeing the final gasp from best buy... they did it to themselves. Look over the complaints on these forums, there are so many people that have been loyal customers for longer than most BBY employees have been alive, the loyal customers WANT TO SPEND MONEY at BBY and the company makes it impossible to continue doing business with them. If I had money returned rather than store credit, I would never have gone back.

Now I am told they are sending me a $200 gift card for my unsatisfactory experience. I will believe it when I see it.

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

Today I received my $200 gift card for my unsatisfactory experience. I am now a happy customer again. My ill suited camera and accessories and unused portion of my black tie plan were returned and a store credit issued and i received my new Sony a65 that works in my studio setting. I will never forget this crazy experience and I hope BBY/GS figure out how to turn things around. I am amazed at the wasted man hours BBY spent on my situation and am disgusted at the way I was treated at the North BBY in Rochester MN  and elated at how the South store handled my problem within 30 minutes.

I just came back from the South store again and was treated the way a loyal customer should be treated. :smileyhappy:

I would strongly recommend the North store in Rochester MN be closed.

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

And now BBY announces they are closing the awesome friendly store that helped me with my situation. The only store in Rochestrer with real customer service. The only BBY store in Rochester that I would consider doing business with. I will spend my last $200 worth of gift cards at the South store tomorrow and then I am done with BBY for good.

BBY you are your own worst enemy. I believe this is the beginning of the end for BBY.

Re: Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

Everyone need to cash out their protection plans and go use all the gift cards laying around. Like Forbes said the death is slow then ends fast. I'm sure once BB goes the way of Circuit City there will be millions of worthless protections plans and gift cards that will never be paid through the Bankruptcy.

You can get a pro-rated refund.. I'm not sure of all the specifics about if the plan is used/unused, if it makes a difference, or how it's handles.
