Thank you for posting in Best Buy® forums; I am sorry for the disappointment you feel because Best Buy® was not able to provide you with a receipt to honor the insurance claim for your stolen computer.
At the moment we have not received additional claims of customers not getting there receipts via email. Best Buy® policy behind emailing the receipt is that it takes no longer than 2 hours once a request has processed. The customer should also view there “Spam’’ folder as it known to filter into the folder. Best Buy® is willing to use an alternative email address if needed.
As you might have read, additional method of look up, include visiting the Best Buy® store in the country the purchase was made, or if you are a Reward Zone member you can always visit MyRewardZone.com. Receipts can also be delivered via fax and postal mail, but currently this option is not available for our international customers.
I understand you partly blamed Best Buy® for not receiving the compensation that your insurance would have offered. I noticed that you did not take the offer the $50 gift card that was offered. I cannot promise that Best Buy® will compensate you for what the insurance company, but I am willing to listen to what you believe Best Buy® can do to regain your confidence as a customer.
