I just bought a Dell laptop from best buy in NY this month.Because I don't live in USA,so I requested for the world wide warranty and the salesman told me that I had to pay extra 279.99 USD for this service(GSBTP).He told me that,I will have the best buy warranty in all best buy stores all over the world including UK.I came to UK last week and I figured out that there is no best buy store in UK.In addition,I found some information in this page and some one said that if GSBTP was purchased in USA,laptop will repaired in USA only.so it mean that I won't have any support for my laptop from Dell or from bestbuy if Im outside the US.So what about 280$ I have paid for the oversea warranty? Please help me with this problem.I want to repair my laptop in UK now.If there is no available warranty, can I appeal for the warranty refund ?

To receive service in UK, you'd dial UK's exit code + 800-556-56565. The employees at that number will direct you to the nearest authorized service center. You'll go to to that repair shop, have the computer repaired, pay the bill, and then send the receipt into the address that the above number gives you. BB will send you out a reimbursement check.

Hey M1340,
I’m not quite sure why there would have been any confusion regarding where you are able to obtain service, but I apologize if you found this to be the case. Best Buy® does not currently have any retail stores within the UK (as of 09/01/2009), so any repairs would need to be sought through one of the manufacturer’s international service centers. As Nokia mentioned, however, rest assured that your service plan does include a reimbursement process for qualifying repairs performed outside of the United States.
If you would like information regarding our international repair reimbursement process, I would invite you to send me a private message. You can do so by clicking on either my signature below or the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Otherwise, remember that you may always cancel your service plan for a pro-rated refund if you are not satisfied with its coverage. To do so, simply mail a copy of your purchase receipt, brochure documentation, and a signed cancellation request to the following address:
AIGWG
Attn: PSP/GSBTP Cancellations
P.O. Box 9312
Minneapolis, MN 55440
I hope this helps you out.
