On February 11, 2011, I went to a Best Buy Store to buy an HDTV, I found a 40" plasma for $449, but a Best Buy salesperson told me that if I purchase an HDTV for $499 or more and order DirecTV services through Best Buy I would get $250 in Best Buy gift cards. I ended up buying a $1,000 HDTV and ordered DirecTV through Best Buy. The salesperson was helpful he ordered DirecTV for me and even printed out the DirecTV invoice which says "Since you ordered DirecTV through Best Buy you will get a $50 gift card through the mail and if you bought an HDTV you will also get a $200 gift card once you activated DirecTV." That's all great but when I got home to print the rebate form it says "offer valid 10/7/10-2/9/11." I bought the HDTV on 2/11/11, Today I went to Best Buy and asked the salesperson whether or not I'll get the gift cards and he said DirecTV/Best Buy should honor it since its printed on my contract but that I should still call the number on the rebate form, which i did I ended up being tranferred to 6 DirecTV customer representatives, 4 of them said it should be honored and one of them said they will honor it since Best Buy should update their rebate form soon, then I asked him to send me an Email saying it will be valid he said he would transfer me another rep to email me proof of validity... I got transfered again, the rep told me he wouldn't email me proof. This purchase has caused me alot headaches.

My question is will I get the gift cards or should I just cancel everything and return the HDTV and buy it elsewhere... somewhere they don't use False Advertising tactics?

The Best Buy / DirecTV webpage still says, "Get up to $250 in gift cards when you order DirecTV through Best Buy and purchase an HDTV $499 or more."

Please don't give me phone numbers to call because I'll end up calling 6 different ones and I'll still won't get a straight answer.

The current rebate form on the website you linked to states that the rebate is good on purchases made from 2/10/11 - 7/20/11. Looks like the new form is online and ready for use.

The webpage does say the offer is valid but the printable rebate form says it expires on 2/9/11

Does anyone know where I can find the update rebate form?

The reason I want the updated form is that I don't want to have any problems with the rebate center. Most rebate centers are really strict with anything wrong and your rebate gets denied..

I ended up sending the expired mail in form and it got approved I should get the $200 gift card during this week. I received the $50 gift card about two weeks ago.

Even though the webpage I posted in the original question only has the expired version on the mail in form they are still accepting it. Two days ago I went to one of the best buy stores in my city and they have the updated mail in form in the tv/directv section.
