On 11/24/08 I made $1,700. worth of purchases on my lunch hour. One of the purchases was a Toshiba Satellite Computer model U405D for $ 949. The computer was purchased as a birthday gift for someone whose birthday was 11/30. The following week the computer was on sale for $799. We sent an email to Best Buy asking if the would refund the difference. We received an email on 11/8 saying yes. We brought documents to the Patchogue NY store to get the difference refunded. THEY REFUSED TO saying first that we had to bring it within 14 days of sale, then after calling the 1-800 Best Buy on my cell I was told by the acting mgr. "Casey" at the refund counter that they only refund on current sales.
800 Best Buy has said they are sending me the difference in a gift card, but that ticks me off since that makes me buy again in Best But.
The store also said it is against their policy to tell me when a general store manager will be on why ?
I am a long time Best Buy shopper with Rewards Card and all, but not sure I will continue buying from them.

KATHYK,
Best Buy has a 14 day price match policy. If the product you purchased goes on sale during that time it is up to the customer to bring in your receipt to any Best Buy store and we will refund you the difference. If it has been more than 14 days it is at the discretion of that store weather they will refund the difference or issue store credit. In the event you talked with 1-888-BESTBUY during the 14 days and you went into a store after your 14 days then you should take it up with 1-888-BESTBUY to have the refund issued.
