I purchased a viper auto start on the Best Buy site on 01-08-12. It was scheduled for install at the Best Buy automotive department garage for 01-18-12. The install took about 3 hours. We arrived to pick up our HHR and we noticed a dent, or almost a hole in the hood near the front of the car. We told the tech and he opened the hood and we both noticed the pin was installed just about the same area as the dent. Tech said, I should have adjusted the pin lower. Then he unplugged the wire to it and said, you dont need that wire. He then gave us a place to take the car for a repair estimate. We went all over looking and never found it. We called the tech back and he gave us a different name. We found it. We got an estimate. It will cost $500 to repair hood. We took the estimate back to the tech on 01-19-12, and he said, he would submit it to corporate. Guess what... We still havent heard. And when we call the tech or the store we get put off. He says, " I will check on it and call you". Never happens. So, now what is our next move? Plus, the windshield wipers dont work correctly. After we plugged in the wire the tech unplugged, they kinda work. We want our car back to normal. What is it going to take?

Good afternoon mrfairguy,
Welcome to the forums and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to further assist you with your Viper4103XV autostart installation issue. I'll do my best to get you some answers as quickly as possible to your raised concerns.
I'm so incredibly sorry that your installation has resulted with a $500 repair estimate, and I'm in disbelief that after bringing your quote to the store, you haven't been contacted yet. To get this started, I'm sending you a private message to collect more information and once I receive a reply, I'll begin my research and keep you posted with any updates I receive. PMs can be viewed by logging into the forums and selecting the letter icon in the upper corner. You can reply to this topic if you have any other comments, or just send me a message by clicking the link beside my name.
Sincerely,

I contacted the Store Manager today, and I emailed him the problem. Mr. Brett {removed per forum guidelines} at store # 762. Hopefully we will get some resolve and re-repair before the rain begins. My wipers quit working as a result of the poor installation. I also have no, zero, manuals or paperwork regarding how to operate the viper. The tech never gave us one minute of help or instruction. He said, its pretty self explanatory. My neighbors asked me, how do I like my new auto start?" I replied, dont know, been tied to the computer for two weeks trying to get my car repaired.
