I have recieved e-mail at the end of last week informing me that Best Buy is offering 36 month 0% financing on all DSLR purchase equal or more of $899. I wanted to take an advantage of this offer and purchase Canon 60D or 7D DSLR kit, so I can take nice pictures of my son's Bday party that is coming up. I specifically checked the online and e-mail announcements and it did not specify expiration date, so I cleared up the room on my Best Buy credit card to make large purchase (which took me 3 days due to banks payment policies). The announcement looked like the one in the link below, but it clearly stated DSLR purchase of $899 or up:
However, when I got to a store I was told that Best Buy does not offer it and did not have it last week either, which I saw just yesterday!!! Basically calling me a liar to my face!! I am a loyal Best Buy customer, but now reconsidering being Best Buy customer at all and feel extremely dissapointed and stressed out by being treated like that and also have or allowing a fraudulent advertising on BB site and through e-mails!

I can understand why you would be upset after finding out about a great digital imaging financing offer and being informed that offer has expired shortly after you learned of it. Our financing is offered through either HSBC or Chase bank and as such cannot be applied after the timeframe has expired. Also to be kept in mind is that there are different financing promotions online as opposed to in our stores. I'm sorry that someone at our store wasn't able to fully bring to light what happened regarding the promotion and why they wouldn't be able to provide that financing for you. We do not have the ability to apply financing offers that are not in our systems however as they are an agreement between our lending institutions and our business teams.
