Hi bigdballa,
Sorry you're disappointed...there is a reason that your Performance Service Plan (PSP is fulfilled.
Most manufacturers offer a one-year warranty on their products; if a product is replaced within this period and has PSP coverage, the remainder of that coverage WILL transfer because essentially the manufacturer is covering the cost of the replacement. However, after the manufacturer's warranty has expired, the only remaining coverage is the PSP. Per the written terms and conditions of this plan, if a product is replaced after the manufacturer's warranty has expired, the PSP is fulfilled. Replacement is considered to be the maximum benefit of the plan.
Maybe this will help: had your DLP failed outside the manufacturer's warranty and you didn't have a PSP, as they don't have the parts, you would have been out the entire cost of repair and cost for a new television. In this case, the PSP provided exactly what you paid for; instead of being out the entire cost of the television, you are out only the cost of the plan, which I see as a pretty significant benefit.
Still, thanks for posting on our forum. We love to hear about what our customers like and don't like about these plans so we can continue to improve the experience.
Cheers,
~Elizabeth
