Shipping

I live in Jamaica, but I want a laptop from best buy. My uncle (in the states) offered to buy it online for me, and have it shipped to a Mailpac (whihch would then ship it to Jamaica). The order was cancelled. The email from bestbuy states that it was cancelled because they could not ship to the shipping address. Before seeing the email my uncle sent a message to best buy's customer service department. An agent responded saying that it is because Best buy does not accept international credit cards. This makes no sense, as his credit card is a US Discover Card. Can someone tell me what the actual problem is?

Re: Shipping

Hi kitty411,

Sorry your uncle's having problems getting this laptop to you.  If the credit card is drawn on a U.S. bank with a U.S. billing address, that wasn't likely the problem.  However, BestBuy.com will only ship to street addresses in the U.S., Virgin Islands, Guam or an APO/FPO (military) address.  From what you're saying, it sounds like this is why the order was cancelled.  To be certain, your uncle would have to contact BestBuy.com with his order number as details could only be released to him for privacy purposes.

Hope this helps!
