First and foremost I want to say that I like Best Buy and have nothing against them. I've purchased electronics and a separate TV with no problems or complaints-HOWEVER...
I'm not very pleased with my last purchase in-store. I saw a display for the Samsung UN55ES8000 and just HAD TO have it. I spent over $3,000.00 (including in-store warranty). The sales rep told me that the only deal they could give me on the TV was a 25% discount on any additional purchases- so I bought an $88.00 Monster power supply.
I took the TV home and after getting it set up I noticed that the Google Maps app had been set to an address 10 miles away from my house...which is weird because I've never used the app.. I also noticed cloudy white marks on the bottom right hand corner whenever the screen is black. I went back to Best Buy a couple days later and looked at their display model and didn't see the marks so I told a rep in Home Entertainment and he told me that I could return my defective and they'll swap it out with a new one. Easy enough, right?
Well last night, I was looking at their newspaper ad and saw that my TV is actually supposed to come with a FREE 3D Blu Ray disc player AND free delivery- and this newspaper ad has been out even before I purchased the TV
I don't know what I'm more frustrated about...
The fact that the inital sales rep didn't tell me about the promotion-yet he was so quick to throw TV equipment at me that he INSISTED I needed.. or that I spent a lot of money on a TV that may have already been used.
The guy who brought my TV to the front said that I would need the Monster power supply and when I took it home and tried plugging my phone charger it didn't work. I tried it in 2 different ones and they didn't work either- so I have an $88.00 power supply that have 3 dead outlets...
