Returning a iPad 2 under the 14 day period

So I bought a iPad 2 on the 4th of this month as a gift for the wife. I wasn't aware they were going to release a new one so soon and I didn't even know Apple was going to have an announcement on the 7th. Anyway, does anyone see a problem in me returning this iPad before the 14 days are up? Is there going to be a restocking fee in my case? There is no personal data or apps on this iPad. The only thing we have done to it is take the protective plastic wrap off it. I turned it on and the register screen came up so I stopped using it so she so she could fill that out when she receives the iPad on her birthday. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it!

There is no restocking fee. It can be returned as long as it is in new condition (not damaged).
