Return Problem

Aight i know its doubtful but I bought NCAA12 about 3 weeks ago and i played it turned off my xbox then came back and wanted to play it again and it was broken.  It never came out of my xbox.  all my other games still work so its not my xbox.  can i trade it in for the same game or something. i remember hearing something about a 30 day warranty

If it's within 30 days you can bring it in to the store and see if they'll exchange it for another copy of the game but if there's physical damage to the disc at this point the store doesn't have to do the exchange for you if you didn't get black tie on the game. With Xboxes it's not uncommon for the console to etch a ring around the disc and if that's the case they can't take it back.

You can do a trade in on the game and get a few bucks towards a new one, I think there's a trade-in estimator on the best buy website so you can see how much it would be.

I don't think you can trade-in a physically damaged game though.

 

OPs best bet is to see if the store will do them a favor and exchange it, keep in mind though that if the game is physically damaged they're under no requirement to do so, and if they won't to contact the publisher of the game to see if they have a program to replace damaged games inexpensively. I know some of them do this for around $10 when I went researching it one time.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry to hear about your game breaking, that's really weird for this to happen between gaming sessions. I'm afraid it is not very clear what happened with your disk, is it scratched? If not, AndyH is correct about returning the disk to the store for a replacement. If it is scratched, it would be the decision of the store whether they would take it back. Our official policy states that we do not return damaged items, so keep that in mind.
