Hello, I've always been a fan of Best Buy when it comes to bigger applicance purchases, including TV's.
My recent purchase, a first (and last!) Plasma TV purchase is severely disappointing me. I used the TV for about 2 months while always wearing headphones
that connect to my XBox 360. Well, last week I sold my Xbox 360 and got a laptop. So now the TV has been hooked up to a cable box and being used as a regular TV.
This is when my problem began, I heard this horrid irritating buzzing noise. Even with the TV turned up to 15-20 I still can hear a annoying buzz noise.
I contacted the Insignia warranty person who assured me this was not caused with normal operation and that a board probally needed to be replaced.
The friendly Geek Squad man laughed when I showed him the TV and said "These TV's invented the term "Samsung Buzz" he told me about the Insignia being a rebranded Samsung.
I asked him what Best Buy's return policy would be in such a case, he told me 30 days. I find this very unfortunate because without wearing headphones this TV's noise will give me headaches and I cannot concentrate at all. I simply shut it off when I begin using it to relieve myself of the stress from hearing this buzzing noise.
Is there any way possible I could exchange the TV for an LCD that does not buzz? A store credit, anything like that so I can get a TV that will be usable for me without headphones.
Thank you very much. Ronnie.

So you're blaming Best Buy for what is clearly a known defect in the manufacturing process of the television and something that should be handled by the manufacturer and expect Best Buy to essentially be the one to eat the loss by taking a return 30 days after the lapse of the return period. Is that correct?
Why not contact Insignia and request in-warranty repair service for it?

Then go through the proper channels and do the in warranty repairs. Why should the store have to take back a tv past the return date, even if it is a 'Best Buy brand'?
