So I have some Beats Solo HD headphones (the product RED versions) and The cord has become slighly frayed due to extended use (I didnt yank it or anything, it happened over time), and I had purchased a Black Tie Protection 2 year plan. Is it possibble for me to replace these headphones with a different pair of equal or lesser value because I find the build quality unsatisfactory for my use?

It could be either a replacement or store credit. Both means to the same end, really.

SamJamesRB –
Thank you for your post. I apologize if your headphones have started to malfunction. Ultimately, you would need to visit your local Best Buy store for assistance. They will need to assess the product to make sure the issue is covered by the BTP. In the event that they are deemed defective, you will be provided with a replacement that does not exceed the original purchase price and has the same or better specifications. The store will let you know what products would be considered comparable. Please visit your local store with your product and receipt.
Thanks,
