Re: pricematches.....Just hung up the phone with Bestbuy.com

In a nutshell.....bestbuy will not price match anything anytime! A blu-ray bought Friday for $349.99.  Today it's $279.99.  A router bought same day, $79.99 today's price $59.99.   Sorry, ma'am, there's nothing we can do.  What????????   Not even from something I bought 2 days ago.  Online, in the store, Thanksgiving weekend, cyber Mondays...around and around we go. Read the fine print...then the FINER print, oh, and don't forget to read (and try to comprehend) the "exclusions", which the bottom line means nothing will be pricematched!  I am not even talking about pricematching with another store, I am talking about pricematching with their OWN store.   So basically if you want it cheaper, return what you've already bought and buy the same item again.  Preferably somewhere else who will not have so many "guidelines", rules, exclusions, fine fine print, etc.  Best Buy should stop deceiving the customer as they recently have been. Hey, let's confuse our customers and take more money.  They are going down the tubes just like CircuiCity.  Psst, they won't let me post if I mention their full name.  You know who I mean.  Buy from somewhere reliable & good customer service,  like B&H photo or Amazan.com. Trust me......after losing $90 bucks within 2 days because of their "no" pricematch policies I certainly will!

Best Buy does NOT price match themselves.....absurd !

I bought a belkin router this past Friday...did transaction online and picked up in the store.  While in the store I also bought a blu-ray dvd player.  Checked online prices today and guess what?  the router is $20 cheaper and the dvd player is $70 cheaper!  Ok, not a problem....I took my 2 receipts into best buy today.  Surprise!  Best buy said since I bought the router "online" and picked it up in the store, they won't match the stores current price ($20 cheaper today )  WHAT??  Now that's not the worst of it.  Since I bought the dvd player "in the store" with no online transaction, they won't match the online price today.  ($70 cheaper today!)  Got a lot of BS in the customer service.  Whoa?   I'm out $90 because they won't price match themselves??  Ok, only thing to do is RETURN BOTH GET ALL MY $$$$ BACK AND SHOP ELSEWHERE.   Price match everyone else but their own store?  They have got to be kidding me.

Re: Best Buy does NOT price match themselves.....absurd !

The online sale is called Cyber Monday which goes from Sunday to Monday at Best Buy. It is sort of like Black Friday, but online. In order to get any of these prices you need to buy online and stores are not allowed to match any of these prices on store. You can return the item and rebuy it online, but that is really the only option because of Cyber Monday.

Re: pricematches.....Just hung up the phone with Bestbuy.com

Hello sensoryoverload,

I’m very sorry to hear about your store experience.  We don’t set out to confuse our customers and we certainly don’t want to make a shopping experience complicated as it seems happened here.  I’d enjoy the opportunity to look into this further for you.  If you are entitled to the price match as you describe, I’d like to see that you get it.

Please check your inbox for a private message from me.  You can check your inbox by first logging into the forum with your username and password, then clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

I look forward to working with you.

Re: pricematches.....Just hung up the phone with Bestbuy.com

sensory, why not just return whatever was purchased in store(blu ray player, and purchase online) if you are premier silver(its free shipping), as for the router....you could return that as well(but returning online is a bit different).

Just a thought....I am always out to try to make my $$$ go farther(you have to with the economy like it is), but I know I just bought a new phone for my wife and this weeks ad had it cheaper, I walked in and they honored it - but that of course was not a black friday/cyber monday deal....
