I have a question.. Why doesn't Best Buy price match K mart, but price matches Target and the blue store? (starts with a W)

IF there is a KMart in the same market, IF the item is still in stock, and IF the price match meets all of the other price-match criteria (in stock, not a manager special, not a doorbuster, etc).

It could very well be that the particular BBY has already called that particular KMart earlier in the day and confirmed that they are out of stock, in which case they wouldn't price match, and if they already knew the stock level, they would have no reason to call KMart over and over again.

Hello raydee1981,

As other users have mentioned, we do price match Kmart prices as long as they fall within price matching guidelines just like any other retailer in the local area.  There are exclusions to what type of offer we price match but no exclusions to specific retailers so the only reason I could see that we might not be able to match the Kmart in your area is that it might not be in that particular Best Buy’s local competitive market.  The store should be able to provide their reasoning behind a price match denial and please let us know if you feel it is outside the guidelines I’ve linked above.
