I would like to purchase a ASUS notebook.  My local BB is selling it for $899.00, a BB 50 miles away is selling it for $794.99.  Why local store said they don't match other BB prices on items and as if this isn't bad enough BB online sells it for $1049.99.  It's funny BB will match the competition but not their own stores.  Is this BB policy or greedy managers?

the asus notebook is on clearance right now. All stores may have different price. depending on the market in the area. unforunately one of the Price Match Policy does say stores do not price match clearance items, even if it's in the same company.

 

my recommendtion, find out which store has the lowest price, and sitll have them, and go there and buy them.

even if it says "bestbuy.com" price matching policy, it's the same policy as Best Buy Stores.

Hey AJAKK,

Like u_hsen mentioned, you may be referring to a clearance model laptop. Without knowing the exact model or SKU number, however, it’s hard to provide you a specific reason why you would see a price difference from store to store.

Please keep in mind that while Best Buy® is able to price match in most scenarios, our Store Price Guarantee found on BestBuy.com does contain a few exceptions. The product must be readily available at a local competitor’s brick-and-mortar store, and cannot be subject to any open-box, clearance or outlet center pricing. What constitutes a “local competitor” then? Best Buy® ultimately leaves this up to our individual stores to determine, although it generally follows these guidelines:

• The competitor must be within the same state
• The competitor must be within the same city or metro area
• The competitor must be within a reasonable driving distance, usually 5-10 minutes away
