Re: BILLED DEFERRED INTEREST CHARGES - HSBC Vampire ?

You do realize that you sign the contract when you apply for the card not necessarily every time you make a purchase. However now, at best buy when you sign for the sale it makes you read the terms before you sign. And when you do make a purchase, the terms and conditions are at the bottom of your receipt.

And everyone has struggles, some worse than others. But I have to wonder when people are going to stop using that as an excuse and stop complaining about it and stop trying to use it as a crutch. Sorry if that sounds mean or harsh but, like Jim said I'm also tired of people blaming others and want something for nothing when it's clear that the only person to blame is themself. I myself have done this at one point in my life but, no longer do because I realized the only way to push forward is to face my issues on my own.
Now I would have more respect for you if you were more sympathetic in the beginning and were just looking for someone who might be able to offer a lending hand. But you didn't. Right off the bat we didn't have any sympathy for you based on how you blamed others for your mistake. I'm usually not this rude in posts but, I had to express my two cents on this issue.

Re: BILLED DEFERRED INTEREST CHARGES - HSBC Vampire ?

So obviously arguing back and forth isn't helping. We've established this. Frustrated, have you tried to call HSBC and talk to them about the interest? I don't know if they would don't take off the entire amount, but if you ask to speak to a supervisor and explain the situation, they may be able to cut off some of the interest. It wouldn't hurt to try at least. If I was the supervisor of the credit card, I would rather lose some money in interest than lose a card holder.

No, there will be no more deferred interest, but the balance of the promotion will begin incurring interest charges at a high rate (Not sure exactly... 25-29%, maybe?). In other words, if you still owe $300 on the promotion, it will incur interest monthly, the same as a normal purchase would.

You didn't read your statements or the contract you signed and agreed to just like the OP? NO WAI!

If you like my post, or solution to your issue/question, go ahead and click on the little star by my name and/or accept the post as the Solution. It makes me happy.

I'm NOT an employee of Best Buy, or Geek Squad, though I did work as an Agent for a year. None of my posts are to be taken as the official stance that Best Buy will take on your situation. My advice is just that, advice.
Unfortunately, that's the bad luck of any electronic, there's going to be bad Apples... wait that's a horrible pun.

So sounds like the OP can really benifit from SIRI.

Get you and iphone and speak those little reminders to SIRI so she can track it for you.

Heres the catch, you need to make sure you keep your iphone charged.

Maybe you should find a more rewarding job, and keep your nose out of this if it doesn't concern you, we are upset regarding practices of this company, and if you are tired of the comments, stay off the board!!

It's not practices of this company, it's them abiding by LAW...

I have outlined in multiple threads that they are adhering to the law that was set before them.
