Question about replacement plan

In the past when something has broken and I had the replacement plan I was able to upgrade to another similar product and pay the difference. I just told them that it had broken several times and I didnt want to just keep doing this with the same product. So I got one that was same type of product, just more empensive so I paid the difference.

My question is this: If I return a defective product using the replacement plan, and want to upgrade to a better and more expensive one, do I have to rebuy another warranty on the new product? Or can I just have them prorate the months left on my warranty and just pay the difference on the new one?

Re: Question about replacement plan

What product is it? No you don't have to buy a new warranty but if it is replacing a product it would be fulfilled and no funds would be left over. The rest of your questions depend on what you have.

Re: Question about replacement plan

Its a Tritton Headset for gaming. So what you mean is that they wont prorate any of the warranty. So if I paid 19.99 for it and only used it for like 6 months they wouldnt refund any of the warranty right?

Re: Question about replacement plan

Depends on what is wrong with it. If it is something that the manufacturers warranty would cover they would carry it over to the new product in some situations. Most of the time it is fulfilled. What is wrong with it?
