I Purchased an iPhone during black friday, and I have lost the receipt. I am trying to sign up for some coverage on the device but I need proof of purchase. Is there any way I can contact the best buy that I bought it from and have them look it up in their records? I really hope so. Or on the other hand are there any other ways to get proof of purchase? I made it with cash. So i can't look it up with my bank..

cash-cash? The green paper-looking stuff? no checks, gift cards, nothing else? Boy that's gonna be tough.

Did you buy any plans with it, or use a RewardZone card during the purchase, anything that says "this receipt is mine and not someone else?"

If you used anything other than cash and only cash, there's hope. If you used a RZ account for example, then they can locate the transaction using that number. If you used a check, they could locate it with the account number on the check, but if you walked in, pulled out cash, declined anything and everything that could put a "kyle2013" stamp on it... good luck.

Well couldn't they look it up with my phone company or something with the serial number of the phone?

They dont keep SN, at least I don't think. Did they activate the phone in store?

I would call up the service provider and ask when the phone was activated to the minute. This should give you a pretty accurate time of purchase.

With that info it should be easier to track down your phone purchase as you have a more exact time + or - 15 minutes.
