Best Buy's price match policy has been the same for the most part for a long time (at least for the last 4 years since I've shopped there). From your post it sounds like you might have just misunderstood what was going on. Their policy states that it must be in-stock at the competitor, so they call them to verify availability. Thus the 10 minutes you were waiting was for the competitor to pick up their phones and check if they have the item. I was in the area of my local shopping center when I was reading your post so just for kicks I decided to go into the competitor you mentioned and check for a Logitech speaker system on-sale. They had an X-240 in their ad but were sold out of it. If they are anything like most retailers their ad comes out on sunday, and by the time thursday rolls around other customers have bought up the sale items all throughout the week. The competitor also listed it online as available while I'm talking to the rep in the store is saying it's out of stock. I should put through an order and collect the gift-card they give you if they can't fulfill the order in 24 min, but I'm an honest person.
p.s. thanks to the iPhone for making this post possible.

Hi ejjohnson78,
Witty is correct - our Low Price Guarantee requires that the item be in stock at the compeitor we are matching. Our stores will call the competitor to confirm whether or not the item is available. I am sorry for the frustration that you experienced. For full details on our Low Price Guarantee, visit http://tinyurl.com/bbypricematch.
