Price Match

If I place an item for store pick up in my cart for a local warehouse store and print that page, does that qualify for a price match in the store?

Re: Price Match

Howdy zmanmj,

That’s a great question! In order for Best Buy® to complete a price match for you as you describe, the following must be true:  the retailer to which you want a match must be in stock on the item, must have a physical store location within your Best Buy®’s local retail area, and must match their own website pricing.  If all of these requirements are met, Best Buy® will happily complete a price match for you.  You may review the price match policy here.

I hope this helps!

Re: Price Match

Hi John,

This is interesting information on this policy.  I have a local warehouse store that is offering a package for a dslr for $50 less than my local best buy.  My sister went to the warehouse store to confirm stock... they have plenty.  I called my local Best Buys (several of them) and none of them would provide a price match.

It seems like the item I want to order matches all of the guidlines you posted above... is there something that I'm missing on this?

Thanks!

Re: Price Match

LOL..... Check out my post "Had to report my local BB to BBB". I don't know how all BB's are but I know for a fact that mine did not want to match the price and they went as far as telling a lie, that I caught them in and they still did not honor policy. The policy is a joke, they have so many stipulations and when you are able to meet the criteria they still try and weasel out of matching the price.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau, even if you get no resolve in the long run if everyone reports them they will get strikes against them and someone will eventually revise this policy or take them to task for unethical business tactics. It may help someone in the long run......

Re: Price Match

Ya that's what I'm going to do. I had a similar experience with their so called Price Matching and even got laughed at as I inquired about my match I wanted them to do. They need to STOP advertizing that they can Price Match. One of the people working there told me that I'm not going to find anything for them to price match on because they have people that watch other store's prices and make sure of it.

Re: Price Match

Yes, they'll definitely find a way to weasel out of their written price match policy.  I bring in a list of CCs that had an item for less and they'll find the one CC that doesn't have it in stock and deny you.  They won't even bother calling the CCs on your list to confirm stock and price because they know you're telling the truth.  From my experience, the dept. manager AND the store manager will gang up on you; tell you to go away so they can conjure up some reason in private to deny you the price match; make you wait in silence while they do it; and then give you some reason not substantiated in their written policies to deny you.
