We were told we had a 60 day price match policy...we purchased our Samsung HDTV on 9/27/2008 for $1499.00
Today, 11/25/2008...60 days later it sells for $1399.00. My husband went to a Best Buy store with our original receipt to get the credit. First an employee told him they only have a 30-day policy. Then the manager said he "couldn't get the computer to accept the refund" and offered my husband a $100 gift card. He said that would be fine if they would use the $100 gift card as payment on our balance...of course Besy Buy would not do this.
I'm sorry - but this is not the way to do business & from what I can see on the forum, it's a common occurrence. The solution of offering a gift card just keeps the money in their hands & does NOT honor their POLICY.
So it ends up they only refunded us $25 - somehow the computer was capable of doing this but not $100. I will be making another trip to the store this evening to speak with another manager. I'm not sure how they justify this when the bottom line is the TV was once $1499 and now it is $1399 - that is $100 by my math!

Aaron: Can you help? I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS as a Christmas present for my wife, on Oct. 29 for $499.00. I was going to wait until Dec., but was assured by the sales rep that the item would probably not go down in price before Christmas. This morning, Thanksgiving day, I see an add at the same store for the item on sale at $349.00, a $150.00 difference. I am not happy and want to return the item to the store. Do I have options here.
Thanks
