Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

I bought Halo reach and I found it for $52 on dell.ca. Will bestbuy price match it?

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

I have price matched Costco before but they have to have the item in stock in their overhead store (there actual store at your location)  and it be of the same model, type, ect. ect. As far as Dell goes that one im not sure on ive never done it or heard of it being done so sorry I cant answer that one. The key things to remember if they have a actual store near you and they have it in stock and its the same thing *usually* best buy can do it.

Sadly no.  Best Buy does not price match online competitors.  Details for Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee can be found here.

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

I stated before as long as they have a actual store ie:were customers can walk in and shop and it isnt a online only sale and if the nearest physical costco has the same exact one in stock then yes they will match it. For a example:

You wonna buy a phone for $50.00 from best buy
Costco has it at their store for $30.00 and it is in-stock and the same model then Best Buy will price match it for $30.00 but it cannot be a online only sale/item.

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

I would have to disagree with the item being in stock. I have had best buy price match a local store called Frys. I showed the manager the ad and it said not availability in store and they still price matched it. It all depends on the store and mgmt. I have never had any problems with price matches from a brick and mortar store with best buy. I even price matched two items from two different stores aving me over 20.00. I only go through the trouble to get my points.

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

It's best just to call and check with the particular store.  Generally no stores will price match something like Dell online because Dell has no physical store so they're not a "local competitor", but there are exceptions made.  Same thing with the "in stock" stipulation.  Policy says that it needs to be in stock but exceptions are made, it just depends on the store.

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

I have seen stores refuse to price match Costco due to it being a membership store that you have to pay a fee to belong to, while Best Buy is not a said membership store.

Best to go in and ask, nothing is guaranteed until the store employee says yes.

Re: Price Match/Lowest price guarantee

Also, keep in mind that the competitor store (Fry's, Costco, etc) has to be in the local market area.

There are no Costco's within 100 miles of my local BBY, so there is no way they'd pricematch them. But if I went to the state capitol, which has a Costco, I could get a pricematch at the BBY down the street.

However, I probably wouldn't be able to get a pricematch to Costco at the BBY across town, because there are at least 2 or 3 BBY stores that are closer to Costco.
