I pre-ordered a CD here, listed to have 10 tracks. The same CD listed elsewhere for pre-order has only 5 tracks. One website has even been e-mailing its customers to tell them so. But the Best Buy product description has not changed.

The CD is to be released on June 9. What happens if the product description hasn't changed by the time it's shipped but I receive an item that does not match it? Would that not be false advertising or similar crooked business?

The upcoming U2 single Magnificent. A promotional release about a month ago had those ten tracks on it, but the USA commercial release in a few days seems to only have half of them, according to every other website selling it.

Someone suggested to me that the following lines probably allow them to sell me an item differing from the description:

So, the CD is out, I got my copy... and the Best Buy description was right, despite all the other websites changing theirs. Unlikely, unexpected, but true: Best Buy had it right the whole time.

Good to have my faith restored.

I’m glad to hear that your CD arrived and was as anticipated!  I know that I’ve been bummed out more than once when a music CD was supposed to have something and it didn’t (like the new Pet Shop Boys U.S. version being two tracks short of the UK version).
