Poor service and misleading warranty

I am finally fed up with the poor policy's of Best Buy repair and warranty service. This is the final time I will ever buy anything from Best Buy let alone their worthless and expensive extended warranty. This is the fifth time I have taken computers in for warranty service only to be told that their will be an additional charge to complete the repairs. My PC went in for a failed motherboard and needed to be taken back three times and each time they replaced the motherboard all with in a couple of days of getting it back. But their no LEMON policy did not count them because I was told it was the same problem. They said they checked it out after each repair and it was working fine but when I got it home it did not work correctly. I could not get on the internet because it would not recognize my NIC card. They also told me that the computer had a virus in it and I needed to pay them over $100.00 to remove it. I had them remove it and when it went in the next time, the next day after it was returned, they said it had a virus again and it would cost me another $100.00 plus to clean it out. I told them not to do it and brought it home. I went online to three different free virus sites and not a one found a virus. I think Best Buy just wanted to get me to pay for the repairs to cover the service that should have been covered under warranty.

Then I just had to take my laptop (about a year and a half old) in for repairs because the hard drive crashed.  First I told them that it was acting funny before the crash and would not write a system back up to a DVD. I tried to make a back up and kept getting a error message that the back up failed because it could not find some file. They asked me if I wanted them to make a back up and I said yes. Then they informed me that that was NOT covered under the warranty. And you can guess what the cost was to make a back up, about $100.00. Oh and they said they are not responsible for any data lost. (Now they tell me I need to have all the disks that I got when I purchased the computer or it will cost me more to get them from Toshiba). I said since it would not make a back up prior to the crash should it not be covered under the warranty and they said no!!!!!! Oh they did say they could get the information from the old hard drive but you guessed it, that would cost me more.  I have finally made the decision that I will definitely will be saying GOOD BYE to Best Buy for future purchases. I rate Best Buy 1 on a scale of 1-10. It is too bad because I think they do have some good people working there but they have to go by the store poor policy's.
