Earlier today, I found an open box 64GB White iPad (iPad 3/new Ipad) online at the Costa Mesa, CA store. I called to see if they still had it in stock, and I spoke to Gina who went to check if they still had it.
Gina came back on the line after a few minutes and said she was sorry but the white one was gone, but they did have a black one in stock. I told Gina I was really looking for the white one, and thanked her for her time.
A few minutes later, my cell phone rang, and while trying to get my bluetooth headset to turn on, I accidently disconnected the call. A minute later, the same number was calling again, this time I was able to correctly answer the phone (lol).
It was Gina calling back asking if I had called asking about the open box iPad. Gina said that a co-worker actually found the iPad and she wanted to know if she could hold it for me to come pick up.Of course, my answer was "YES, I will be right down!!". I went down and picked the item up, and did manage to find Gina (working the phones) to thank her.
Can someone please pass this on to her supervisor? For her to not only call me to tell me they foudn it but then call back again after I flubbed the first call is outstanding. I know Best Buy gets 100 complaints for ever 1 kudos, but her above and beyond work today needs to go on record.

Awesome to hear Brian and I hope you're enjoying the new iPad
I'm sure one of the Community Connectors here will pass your experience along for you but also there's a survey at the bottom of your purchase receipt. Store management do get those responses as well and would be able to read any comments you have as you wrote them on the survey.

What a pleasure to hear about your experiences with our Costa Mesa location and your new iPad purchase. We try to always give our customer this type of experience that Gina gave to you, but we don't always hear about it. Thank you for taking the time to post on the Forums!
I will send you thoughts and comments on to the store managers so they can give Gina the proper kudos she's earned and deserves. It sounds like she went just that little bit extra that has left a smile on your face...just what we hope for!
