Hi,
I bought this cable splitter (link below) from one of the branches here in Waterloo 10 days ago. Turns out that a lot of the signal for my internet is lost by the cable splitting as one of the ports remains unused ( 1 is used for TV and 1 is for the Internet ).
As a result of this I'd like to return this product but I threw away the original box as I thought i wouldn't be returning it. I still have the receipt and the manual that came with the splitter.
Is it still possible to return this Monster Cable Splitter ? I will be buying the Monster 2 way splitter as opposed to the 3 way splitter which is only available at futureshop currently.
Please do let me know as I'd like to get the switch done ASAP.
Thanks,
Shail

Since you are within 30 days and as long as you have everything that came in the box and your reciept the return should be no problem.

I do have my receipt and all the things that came in the package like in mint condition. Its just that I don't want to make a 1.5hr drive to bestbuy and end up not returning it which is why I wanted to clarify here on the forums.

If there is a Best Buy closer to you then the Waterloo store you can also return it there. The packaging is not required for the return and there is no restocking fee.

Hey ironman22,
I just noticed that the link your provided was for Best Buy Canada. Did you purchase the item in Canada or here in the United States? For some reason, I saw Waterloo and I thought Iowa. If your purchase was made in Canada you would need to reach out to them by calling 1-866-BESTBUY.
If not, let me know and I will have Blake address this for you.
Thanks, sorry for the mix up.

Perhaps it is just me, but driving 1.5 hours (is that 3 hrs roundtrip?) to return an $18 splitter seems a bit excessive. I am not sure what may be in your area, but you may want to look into purchasing an F-type coax termintator. Place it on the unused coax connection to properly terminate it and reduce signal loss. I thought Radio Shack used to sell them but I can't find them listed on their website. However, I was able to find them listed at Home Depot (sold in a 2 pack). There are also vendors on Amazon that also sell them. But then again, if there aren't any Home Depots or any other stores in your general area that sell such an item, then I guess your options are limited. However, was trying to offer suggestions that would save you such a haul to exchange something so small.

Oh my bad, you're right< I meant Waterloo,Canada not the Waterloo in Iowa. I guess i'll give them a call on the number you gave me. There's a home depot close to my house, I'll check that out as well for an F type terminator. Thanks a lot Scottee25. And my apologies Ryan for wasting your time..

Definitely not a waste of time, thanks for getting back to me!
