The Service Center is the party that will authorize a replacement or not. And I know it sucks, but there are many other computers at the service center and repairs are first come/first served.
Yes, the store manager can authorize a replacement in store, but technically, he/she can give anybody who comes through the door a new computer for free if they want to, they'll just have to eat the cost. Not likely to happen though.

What a sensationalist, misleading title, as well. Nothing in this thread states that they are going to fix it. It just has to go to the service center for the determination to be made.
Personally, I prefer my eggs on a plate, sunny-side-up... I try to keep egg off of my face.
