I like Best Buy, so when we decided to get a new refrigerator, oven, and microwave that's the only place we visited. We ordered all three. The price of the oven was $1329.99 and we got a $133 "package price discount" since we were buying three appliances.
Yesterday I saw that the oven (sku=8459802) went on sale for $1130.49, or $199.50 off. So my wife went back in to get a price match, but the employee would not lower the price by $199.50. Instead they would only discount by $66.50 + tax because we already got the "package price discount."
If I purchased the same package today, I'd pay the sale price minus the package discount. I don't understand the logic of the price match.

Exactly right George.
To the OP: that is called "stacking offers", something which BB does not do. You can have one or the other, not both. If you PM, you will lose the bundle discount. That sale price is for that SKU without any other offers.

Dude, did you speak to a manager? Technically, they are in the right, but you should have leveraged the 30 day return policy(threaten to return everything). The package discount really has little to do with this individual item.

Hi dordav,
I was happy to read that because you liked Best Buy® so much we were the only retailer you shopped with when purchasing your new appliances, but I wasn’t happy to read that when you attempted to price match your purchase to a local retailers sale price we were not able to accommodate you. Hopefully I can provide some clarification in this matter.
Without actually looking at your purchase the store most likely could only lower the purchase price by $66.50 because products purchased as a bundle at Best Buy® are not eligible for price matching. When a customer wants a product price matched to a competitor or our own sale price and the product was purchased as part of a bundle price they have the option of getting the entire bundle of products at the bundle price, or they can get the products without the bundle savings but with the single item being price matched to the competitor.
Since the store was saying that they could reduce your total purchase price for all three appliances by $66.50 implies to me that these appliances are actually cheaper to purchase without the bundle price, but with getting the oven at the lower price. I would like to look into this for you to make sure you are getting the best deal possible on your appliances so I am sending you a private message.
