I purchased a Dynex TV, model DX-L40-10A on 3/5/10 at the Bay Parkway Street, Brooklyn, NY which cost $653. Now I find today the TV have no sound, I cannot find the receipt, I paid by a credit card which I no longer have, is there a way to get a copy of the receipt?

Is there any time limit on being able to pull up a receipt? Like only receipts in the past 90 days, 6 months, year?

Nothing infuriates me more than purchasing a product that fails shortly after general usage, so I feel your pain. As far as not having a receipt goes...I've dealt with Best Buy for many a years...let me tell you...depending on the store location...you can purchase something one day...have a copy of the receipt...the original packaging...the original shopping bag...even security footage of you buying the item...but you can go in the next day for a return and if their system has no "record of transaction" you could give them a urine, blood, stool, and saliva sample and they will still refuse your exchange.
So take what the system can pull up with a grain of salt. Because it will not always go in your favor. Next time you make a major purchase on a credit card...save a screenshot or printout of the actual transaction from your card issuer because even if the account gets closed federal court still can't turn away from that proof, lol.
Also, in the future...stay away from Dynex and next time you are in the market for a new tv especially in that price range...check out newegg.com or amazon.com...a lot of times you can get way more quality for the money with better buyer protection and superior record keeping.
Sound is very important to the viewing experience...so good luck and best wishes!

If you have a reciept, you will not be denied a return or an exchange if it falls in the policy. Mramesy11 is simply mistaken on that point.

Thanks mramsey11 for the input, I agree with you 100%. I was on the phone with Best Buy for 1 hour and they could not find any record of the purchase. I will go to the store where I purchased the TV and see if I will have any luck, if not I guess I will have to pay for repairs out of pocket. From this experience, I will never buy another Dynex product and Best Buy will never get my business again.

Can they also pull up the record of the product replacement purchased at the same time as the product?
