Well as long as someone makes it right. Im fine. But honestly the way i beleive me and irsmurf were lied to is pretty close to bait and switch.

I was just told by jesus (the mod) that I have no option to exchange for a droid 3. So it looks like we will both be stuck with the phones we currently have. But if by some act of god you manage to exchange plz plz let me know.

A moderator here told me to speak to the lead salesperson in the mobile department. So, I went to the store and waited between twenty and thirty minutes for the man to wrap up an issue with another customer. When I sat down to discuss my options I was told the same line the last person at this store told me, that I could cancle my line with verizon, sign up for a new line, and order the phone on a new contract. Canceling my line would mean forfeiting Verizon's no longer available unlimited data plan, which is an unacceptably high cost. The salesperson informed me there was me there was no way he could exchange my phone for something in online inventory.

 

After four visits to the store for this issue and two weeks waiting for assistance on this forum, l am too worn down to argue this any further. In the store, I looked up the phone with the highest eBay value (Droid Charge) and exchanged my Thunderbolt for that. I'm just going to sell the Charge, eat the $50 eBay / PayPal fee, and buy a Droid 3 outright from another company. You can find it using item number {removed per forum guidelines}.

 

To everyone else who received bad information and got stuck in this loop, I suggest you do the same. I don't think anyone at Best Buy can be bothered to help us. I was hoping someone here could help. Instead, my issue was simply delegated to the person who gave me the bad information in the first place.

Except if you had read the post above yours the answer was the same.

 

Either way your post is moot as neither me or irsmurf are allowed to exchange for a droid 3, as both are cases are practically identical( we wanted to exchange different phones we originally purchased). Despite what we were told by Bestbuy employees.

 

Next time ill just buy from a more reputable retailer, with better informed or more honest employees. Buyer beware and all that.
