Love the TV's but hate the service!

Can you give me an email address to send a problem/complaint to? Have been buying stuff for YEARS and just want to send an email instead of sitting on the phone for 30 mins.

Thanks,

randy

Basically you can relay your info here and a mod will be a liaison to forward your experience to the proper people or you can wait for them to post and then relay your info in a form of a PM to keep your story private.

Either way it will be 3-5 days for a mod to respond.

Do you really want to hear about it on the forum?  Or by email?

Re: Love the TV's but hate the service!

Ok............ I really didn't want to do it this way.......... but............

I am sorry that I have to write this because it seems so senseless for a sales/customer service company to treat people so bad but….here I go anyway.

My wife took her dad to Best Buy in Bismarck ND to purchase a tv.  The old one that he has, from Best Buy died and he wanted a new one.  So they worked with a sales associate (Mike S.) and purchased a new 70” tv on March 9th, 2012.

Mike told them that the tv had to be ordered and would not get installed until March 26th, 2012.  Well, we were going to be

pretty busy for a few weekends so that was no big deal.

Today is the 26th and we got no phone calls and my father-in-law was hanging out at his house waiting for his tv.

I go there at noon today and I told my sister-in-law to call and see if they had an approximate time that they thought they would be there.  The gentleman that answered the phone said that the tv wasn’t even there and wouldn’t be until the 31st.

He also said that they called the phone number listed and no one answered the phone.  Well… there were no messages on the answering machine and no listed missed calls.

I called the manager, Matt, at the Bismarck office and asked him about this situation and he said the tv was at the corporate office sitting on the dock waiting to get sent here.  He said it should be here on the 31st and the next install date

would be the 25th of April.  After asking him if that sounded right and someone would order a tv from Best Buy on 3/9 that

they should have to wait until 4/25 to get it installed he got short with me and basically blew me off without even making an effort to change that date. I asked if he could work with the install group to get the date changed to sooner than that, then he said he could check.  I asked if they could call back, he said that he’d check into that.  I asked him for his last name and he said that he couldn’t give it to me.  Are your employees not proud of their jobs that they can tell customers their names?  Also I have been a customer for years, bought tvs, computers, printers, cameras and other tech equipment and I was treated this way, I’d be embarrassed and ashamed of the way that customers are treated if that is what I come to expect from YOUR reps! If their goal was to chase business away, they are well on their way of accomplishing it!

By the way.... Mike S., from Best Buy, must've not written in an instyall date, but is that a reason to punish the customer and leave the tv in Minneapolis on the "dock"?

Re: Love the TV's but hate the service!

You do not list the model number of the TV. I will assume it is the one selling for $1999. This model is at the end of its retail life. Either the order was processing incorrectly,  or there is some sort of inventory issue.

Regardless, I think you deserve a gift card for the mishandling. I am not an official rep of BBY here, so a forum monitor will address you directly.

Good luck.

Re: Love the TV's but hate the service!

Thanks...... the tv was a 70" tv on sale for $2300 that I could have bought from Sam's club but because we have good luck at Best Buy, I figured that was the way to do that.  I am floored because they have seen us there A LOT!!!

It is what it is.

Ok, that's the Quattron model. It too is at the end of it's life, but it's a really good TV for a fair price. Keep is posted on how this turns out.

Yes this was a very poor handling of a situation that could have been rectified better, even if it was just calling you to let you know the info instead of you calling them.

Like DanK said we hope that a forum mod can work with you to get it resolved. It normally takes 3-5 days for them to respond here.
