Lousy attitude

I recently purchased two TV's and have a complaint with your people. First I bought a 42' lg TV for myself. The next day I went to the same store and wanted a 47'lg and a stand for my parents.  It wasn't in stock at that store so they gave me another stores phone number and said I could purchase it there. I did this and it was to be delivered and hooked up. Well, they did deliver it, no hook up.So I called the store and the manager was rude, said how did I expect a driver to know how to hook it up? Anyway, I don't live with my parents so I get someone to install the TV..(and put the stand together)

A week later, and I stop and see my parents, and I see its not even the right TV.Its not even an LG.So I call again to the store and all he can tell me was this was the TV I was charged for. My 42 was delivered and the stand was wobbly, and they didn't even try and hook it up..

Thanks for any help..aj

Re: Lousy attitude

Hey ajpghnorth,

The delivery of a new TV is always something to look forward to, so I can certainly imagine your disappointment if everything didn’t go exactly as planned. Without knowing additional information regarding your purchase, however, it’s difficult to say why this may have occurred.

If your parents received the wrong TV I would strongly encourage you to return to your local store for further assistance. Simply speak with a home theater specialist and they should be able to help you arrange an exchange if necessary.

In the meantime, I would like to look into the delivery issue on your behalf. Please keep an eye on your private messages (the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page) for further communication.

Re: Lousy attitude

If you opted for the promotion that includes "free delivery, hookup, and recycling" the stand assembly wouldn't be included.  The Entertainment Center Assembly is a separate Geek Squad service.  Also, the "hookup" only includes taking the TV out of the box, setting it onto a preexisting stand, and hooking it up to 1 preexisting source (like a cable box or cable jack).  I know the hookup may sound like an install, or maybe this is what you were promised/told by the sales associate, but it's really not.  I was confused myself until I read the small print in recent sales ads.  I do apologize if I'm the bearer of bad news. :smileysad:

Nothing I post is an official statment of Best Buy or Geek Squad, it is only a helpful opinion!
