Hello.
So I have a problem. I recently lost a gift card and really wanted to use it for a purchase. I tried calling in to the gift card service (I kept the receipt), but the person on the line said I needed the full card number. My receipt only shows the last 4 digits, which I assume is for security reasons.
I want to know if there is really nothing that can be done. It feels a little silly that I kept the receipt for something like this only to find that it was completely useless.

Losing a gift card is never fun, especially if there was a larger balance on it at all. I am very sorry to read that you’ve lost yours and are having some difficulties in getting it replaced.
It was very fortunate you kept the receipt for the gift card, which should be helpful in locating the gift card information and reissuing the card if there is a remaining balance.
