Did you speak with this person in private message? It sounds like you have not. They want to reach out to you to provide a more acceptable resolution.
I did hear from him, I told him I wanted a full refund. He said he would talk to the store manager but the decision is totally up to them, and if the manager says no, then nothing else can be done. This just really upsets me.
