It goes along with the extended holiday return policy. Phones are included in it. BB will take the phone back, but you're on your own when it comes to your contract. If you want to return the phone and keep paying for the contract, more power to you.

I haven't heard that the extended return policy included cell phones. Our store was directed by management to remind customers that cell phones were excluded from the extended holiday policy, and that we would not be able to accept returns and exchanges outside of the 30 days.

You can definitely do exchanges.

 

As for returns, if someone is willing to pay the ETF, they can also return the phone until 1-31.

I’d like to take a second to let you know that we do appreciate when our customers let us know about store experiences like this. Please allow me to extend my sincere apologies if you received an improper expectation regarding our holiday return/exchange period. Nokia is correct about the return/exchange period for computers, it is indeed 14 days.
If you’d like to get me more information through a direct message by using the option below on my signature I would be glad to see what we can do to try to facilitate any further help at your local store. As well I’d like to pass along some specifics of your experience to store management directly if you wouldn’t mind.
