LG Top of the Line Range - Product & Customer Service Issues

I purchased my LG top of the line Electric Range in June, 2009 from the Summit Place, Pontiac, MI store. The oven stopped working after 1 month and just shuts off after 5 min. I called Geek Squad (bought the 5 yr plan) and although it's only 5 months old, he replaced the circuit board. Failed again. Replaced board again and failed again. Geek told ME to call LG for service. I called LG and the same thing - replaced the circuit board(s) twice and failure. I asked Best Buy for a new stove and denied. They said Geek has to come out 1 more time for it to be a Lemon. I said between Geek and LG they came out 5 times total! Sorry. Now I have to make reservations for 15 people that were originally coming over for Thanksgiving. They won't even let me borrow a stove! Sad and embarrassing for Best Buy and LG. I'll never buy anything from Best Buy again. Very disappointed.

Hey jschimp,

I can imagine how frustrated you must feel to be facing repairs on your range this close to Thanksgiving.  Having the same part replaced multiple times certainly doesn’t make the situation any easier, especially if you’ve only had the range for a few short months.  I would be equally disappointed in a similar situation.

Hey Aaron - I appreciate the answer. I was told that the part is on back order until December 2nd (or later). Now I'm getting concerned about my Christmas gathering, if this part replacement doesn't work (again). yikes!
