Re: In Store Purchase Gone wrong??

...this is a really easy fix.

First off, any tv $999 and up gets a free delivery OR free Tv Video Set up. (in store anyway)

If the store agreed to give you the same deal online, all they would have to do is take the price of the trip charge off the price of the tv. CS could price match the tv (from bby.com) and just over ride the price of the tv, minus the price of the trip charge.

Or if you bought any accs with the tv, like a wall mount they could do the same thing instead of the price of tv.

**This is just my idea. I dont know if your store will honor this idea. Your Best Buy store does have the right to reject my idea if they refuse or if it is not the correct way to go about this.

I do not want to over promise and under-deliver. So its completely up to your local store about how they will handle this situation.

Re: In Store Purchase Gone wrong??

Hmm if the store agrees to give me the same deal as the online one????  As i was told and as i told them they are supposed to match what the BB online has..  if not i would have just ordered online. But as the salesman pointed out they would match the Bestbuy.com deal so i could just purchase in store and it would be the same.

It was the manager that  went off on me , with his whole. "if you keep asking for free stuff BB wont make any money.  When all iw as aksing for was what was on he website..

I refuse to go back to that store and have to deal with that manager again. As he was acting very unprofessional , Im the one who kepy my cool . Espeically with my wife and child there and these two guys tag teaming me about me wanting free stuff and so on..

This after i had just dropped a nice chunk fo change on a new fridge just 30 min before i hit this guy up for TV..

dont get me wrong this isnt a I HATE BB post. Because everyone before and everyone after this TV manager guy have been great and have always been great. it was just this particular guy and his buddy whos name i didnt get .

The guy who sold us the fridge, The sales person i first spoke to Rigo and the delivery guys (alex) all made my BB experience great.  But that manager Eddie needs a lesson in profesionalism. As all i asked for was the same deal as the BBy.com site.

Re: In Store Purchase Gone wrong??

I know that you said that you called the store before. And if your best buy store wanted to use my idea about fixing your situation they could. You wouldnt even have to go into the store (depending on how your paid. Did u use a debit card/cash?)

Because they could just return the tv instore, then re-sell that same tv just minus the trip fee.

BUT again, I'm not sure if this is the correct way to handle this.. so please dont call the store and say "OH Nicolle online said this..." I'm sure a MOD will be on there way to help you. The RIGHT way.

MODS: If what I am posting is not the correct  way to handle this situation, will u please delete my posts?? I dont want to mis-inform anyone on here!

Oh btw, I like how your keeping your cool about this. Your very easy to work with! =)

Re: In Store Purchase Gone wrong??

Thanks for the post.. Ill wait for the Mod.. but ya i have always bought my big electronics from best buy as they have always beena great shopping experience for me. That and there warranties are great.

My brother bought a 52 inch TV from best buy a couple of years back and he has to do a lemon return dealio. BB went above and beyond and replaced his TV with a new tv, That was even  a never model then the one he had which is great..

Im sure this will work itself out.. I still have faith in BB .

Bought the TV with best buy card.

Re: In Store Purchase Gone wrong??

Hey Tvaholic,

First of all, let me say thanks for your patience! I’m glad to hear that Alex was able to help you obtain a functioning TV, especially if the first one you received was defective. Even if some confusion may have occurred over our price match policy, it’s good to know that one of our home theater specialists was able to help you out.

Like rutgers456 mentioned, our retails stores should be able to automatically price match any offer on BestBuy.com as long as certain criteria are met. I’m not quite sure how the exact point-of-sale process works, but I’m sure that what NicolleHTPRO suggested is one possible solution.

I’d like to take this opportunity to gather some additional information from you, so please keep an eye on your private messages (the letter icon in the top right-hand corner of the page) for further communication.
